Armenians in Jerusalem and the Holy Land
Join us as we explore the long and storied history of Armenians in Jerusalem and the Holy Land. For centuries, waves of Armenian soldiers, pilgrims, monks, skilled artisans, educators, merchants, and pious paupers have left their mark on the city where Jesus was crucified, died, was buried, and rose again on the third day. Together, we will ask: How did the oldest continually functioning Armenian community outside Armenia come into being? And can the same forces that preserved it through a perilous past secure its future?
Dates: Thursdays, October 2 – November 20 (8 consecutive weeks)
