Lilly Foundation Annual Meeting

This year, the Lilly Endowment’s Compelling Preaching Grantees Conference was held in Indianapolis from March 23-25. St. Nersess Seminary was represented by Arpi N. Bullockian, Chief Program Officer, and Prof. Roberta Ervine. For a day and a half, 200 grantees from across the country and from every Christian denomination compared notes, worshiped together, forged friendships, and established new collaborations.

The conference was packed with panels and plenary sessions on practical aspects of preaching and grant administration – from preaching in a post-Christian world to the benefits and pitfalls of preaching with AI. We look forward to following how the ideas and contacts that Arpi and Dr. Ervine gathered from the conference will enhance our grant implementation over the next year.
